Velours

We are stunned by Virginia Martinez’s latest collection Velours; it’s an ode to colour and all the inspo we need today.

Inspiration

Regarding what inspired Virginia to create Velours, she says : ”Velvet has always been a luxurious fabric associated with royalty. An object of desire for its extraordinary softness and the complexity of its manufacture. Associated with power, it has been present in the pompous cloaks of medieval kings, as well as on stage with artists like Prince. Today, velvet has been democratized and is part of our wardrobe, although it is still related to sumptuousness.

The powerful language that it transmits is what has inspired this collection in which its rich textures produce interplays of light that are combined with the most transgressive vinyl tones enriching its message, richer and more vigorous than ever. Seven different shades of colour boosting each other giving this vinyl look that sits next to velvet in such an amazing way.

Velours is the result of love to this spectacular profession, which gives us the possibility of creating without limits”.

The result is unique and extraordinary, an exquisite and deeply contemporary combination; we approve!
