Amazing to hear that The British Beauty Council has collaborated with twelveNYC in order to support the industry during this time by offering a PPE service to ensure basic Personal Protection Equipment is accessible, compliant and cost effective to hair and beauty businesses. Good news – especially now that salons are back for business!
The British Beauty Council is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded to represent the voices, opinions and needs of the British beauty industry (from hairdressing to cosmetics, cosmetic surgery, therapy and spa) in education and training; and from formulation to manufacture, supply, logistics packaging, design, retail and media. They have been supporting the British beauty industry (worth £28.4 billion to the British Economy) by contributing to have it recognised and valued at all levels of government, throughout the wider economy and by consumers.
As retail and hair and beauty services have been seriously impacted by the consequences of national and regional lockdowns, social distancing restrictions and the increased costs of PPE, such initiatives are so important right now.
A dedicated portal has been developed to enable store and salon owners to access PPE effectively. Neither the British Beauty Council or twelveNYC will profit from this service. The site launches this week and is accessible to all patrons, partner and associate members and will help to ensure consistent and Covid secure practices are followed in line with government guidance. Products are 95% made in the U.K.
