Fyodor Golan SS20

Studying these #colourtastic pictures from Fyodor Golan SS20 show at London Fashion Week, we were delighted to discover that the hair lead was none other than the brilliant Johanna Cree Brown and her colleagues at Trevor Sorbie.

The designer duo, tasked her team with creating 20 unique hair looks for the models walking in their SS20 show. The collection drew playful inspiration from three categories: Teddy Boys & Girls; Historical and Punk – which Johanna cleverly referenced in each of the hair looks.

Explaining her vision behind the looks, Jo says: “For this project they [Fyodor Golan] really wanted to bring the clothes back and to shout about the looks through the hair. We wanted to mix different cultures within the three categories, so getting the beauty aesthetic right was really important. So, if we had a really pretty Marie Antoinette look, we wanted to mess it up, destroy it, melt it, pull it apart a bit. And then if we had something really strong, like some of the punks, then we would relax that a little bit, and have something more wearable. This was Fyodor & Golan’s mission for the whole collection.”
