Fluid by Darrel Starkey

Spotted… Darrel Starkey shares his latest collection with us: ‘Fluid’. It’s good to see representation of the modern hair industry shown through hairstyles not being defined by gender.  

We have seen a real shift towards genderless salons by reshaping service menus and redefining the meaning of hairstyles as we once knew it. Shown through Darrel’s collection, we can see there is no definition of what a male or female cut is; this is an individual’s preference. It’s exciting to see this portrayed through Darrel’s collection.  

Let’s hear where Darrel achieved his inspiration from:  

“The collection is inspired by the modern hair industry and how we should no longer be looking at hair in terms of gender. We used strong cut and colour elements within the shoot to create a collection that encapsulates modern-day hairdressing.”
