Nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin spice may all sound like a coffee order but Midlands Hairdresser of the Year, Tim Scott-Wright, says these are the perfect tones to boost your blondes this season. If you are looking for Autumn inspiration for colour clients, this could be perfect. Read on for a breakdown of three blonde shades fit for fall.
Tim says: “As we move into Autumn, we’re seeing the buttery summer blondes evolve into something deeper and richer with a hint of warmth. Autumnal spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon are the inspiration behind these deeper blondes and will be relatively low maintenance for your clients.”
Cinnamon Blonde
This peachy blonde is close to a rose gold but deeper and more vibrant. It has a hint of auburn for added spice.
Nutmeg Blonde
A rich, medium blonde with a hint of gold. This works well with softly shadowed roots for depth and interest.
Pumpkin Spice Blonde
With notes of rose gold, copper and red, this shade is a warm blonde with a subtle kick. Perfect for fair skin and green eyes.

Tim says: “For clients that already have highlights, simply over lay the toner to take the blonde down but add warmth. If the client is very blonde, add in more warmth with deeper low lights to create a multi tonal look. I love working with the Schwarzkopf Professional Igora Vibrance demi permanent colours.
“The trend for grown out balayage is fading and more clients are asking for colour that is closer to the root for its face framing potential. Taking note of the Scandi hairline trend, fine highlights close to the face help to bring dimension to the blonde and keep the look fresh and bright during the Autumnal weather.
Maintenance
Tim says: “For keeping on top of their Autumnal blondes I recommend clients use Schwarzkopf Professional Chroma ID at home. Clients should return to the salon every six to eight weeks to help maintain the vibrance and shine of their tone and well as have a good home care regime. Schwarzkopf Professional Bonacure R-Two Rescuing Treatment is great for restoring moisture when the hair dries out due to things like central heating.”
Thanks to Tim for sharing these tips to help you create beautiful Autumnal blonde looks for clients.
