The salon group Headmasters has spent many years both building and nurturing a strong team of hairdressers and salon owners, and treating them to great parties and celebrations that recognise their hairdressing achievements! At the annual Headmasters Awards earlier this week, we were thrilled to see more than 1000 of the salons’ teams at a Grand Final in London’s Battersea Evolution centre, all dressed up with plenty to shout about. Our host for the evening was Love Island‘s winner Kim Cetinay (a barber by trade) and the venue was fabulous – decked out to resemble an Alpine ski resort. Nice! A show by the Headmasters Pro Artistic Team got everyone buzzed up for the announcements of many awards, during which we were struck in particular by the attention paid to colour services with three dedicated colour awards and amazing prizes including a car!:
• Bring on the colour: exclusive to Headmasters colourists, entrants must sell 12-14 colour services A WEEK to receive a ticket into a draw. Selling 15-17 services gives them two tickets, and 18+ means getting three tickets. Gathered over a year, the tickets are then put into a raffle and the winner receives a CAR. This year a brand new Audi A1 was awarded to

• Busiest colourist is awarded to the colourist literally clocking up the highest number of colour services through the year and was awarded to Kamil Czywil from Headmasters Shepherds Bush – pictured here with Tim Binnington Headmasters Commercial Director and Kim Cetinay
• Colour Innovation is part of the creative, photographic awards given on the night and presented to the entrant who created the best look following a trend brief issued by the artistic team. Images and a moodboard were to be submitted and the category was busted by industry experts and sponsored by L’Oreal Professionnel. This year’s winners are Joanna Mires & Rochelle Winkworth from Headmasters Mayfair – pictured above with Gareth Williams, Headmasters Artistic Ambassador and Kim Cetinay. Nice work Headmasters, we like your colour style! #colourtastic.
