New Year and a new initiative from Schwarzkopf Professional colour labs catches our imagination big time, indeed we’re loving the innovative IGORA #RoyalTakeOver whereby six of the most inspiring colourists have created three dedicated shade collections. So this is how it works. At first three of the world’s best colourists are paired with three hair industry influencers. The aim is to create IGORA #RoyalTakeOver teams. To resume then each team creates a unique colour collection of images to reflect their vision. A perfect blend of individuality and trend-inspiration that you can take through to your salon work. Here’s what we can expect to see roll out over the coming year:
To begin with UK-based Schwarzkopf colour ambassador Lesley Jennison joins with a colour specialist. A Brazilian colour specialist Jean Philippe Santos. Together they re-invent reds. They focus on shades that range from subtle and barely there to deep, yet muted shades of vintage red (see below images)
Australia-based Schwarzkopf ambassador colourist Matt Clements and Spanish colour visionary and member of X-Presion Jorge Cancer have developed a collection of nude tones with an edge – soft, vanguard nuances broken up with tarnished blues and greens full of character (will be released in March 2018)
Canada-based Schwarzkopf colour director Rossa Jurenas and American hair artist Line Phan co-create deep and seductive midnight colours, from sensorial violet to seductive berry, cool midnight blue to passionate purple – six enticing shades for radiant looks that shine through the night (will be available September 2018).
Our first close look is at Dusted Rouge:
Six unpolished shades from barely-there red hues to deep shaded vintage tones. Six additional shade mixes are showcased, created using IGORA #RoyalTakeOver Pastelfier – an ingenious product that dilutes the intensity of all IGORA ROYAL tone directions to create amazing pastel shades.
This leads into two new in-salon colour services you can work on, including:
Deep rouge extravaganza
Jean Phillippe Santos’s signature look is a shimmering effect of different tone depths that appear lighter from underneath. The deep, yet muted vintage reds create seamless tonal gradings that fade inside-out, adding beautiful iridescence.
Pastel rouge allure
Lesley Jennison’s signature look sees a subtle combination of barely-there red hues with raw and subtle tones. Powdery flushes of pink and copper create sophisticated soft shade finishes.
All IGORA #RoyalTakeOver looks will feature in Schwarzkopf Professional’s 2018 Essential Looks collections.
