Direct from the creatives at Joico, follow the notes from Joico European Colour Design Team Members, Paul Watts and Dan Spiller, with Joico guest artist Marcus Giamettei, on  how best to achieve these looks. 

Achieving vivid reds:

Starting with the best way to use the products to achieve a vivid red for your clients, check this out: 

Root: Joico LumiShine Liquids ½ 4RR + ½ 6CCR + 5 Vol (1,5%) (1:1)

Lengths and ends: Joico  LumiShine Liquids ½ 8RR + ½ 6CCR + 5 Vol (1,5%) (1:1)

To lock in this style, Marcus applied the brands’s Humidity Blocker to give hold and Colorful Glow Beyond Anti-Fade serum to instantly increase shine and softness. We love the result… 

The perfect brunette:

When it comes to brunettes, a shiny finish is just what your clients are looking for… That’s why colour ambassador for Europe, the UK and Ireland, Dan Spiller used his Gleaming technique to create this colour. Dan shares his formula:

Lightening: Blonde Life Lightening Powder + 5Vol (mixing ration 1 to 1.5)

Roots: LumiShine DD 3NA + 5Vol

Lengths and ends: LumiShine Liquids 50ml 8AA + 25ml Clear + 5Vol

Toner: LumiShine Demi-Liquids 10ml 9NV + 20ml 7SB + 5ml 8NA + 5Vol

To finish this look, Marcus Giamattei styled using JoiWhip for boost of body, volume and shine and Body Shake was applied to create texture and definition.

Creating the warmed-up blonde look:

We love this warmed-up blonde look for Autumn… It’s no secret that warmed-up blondes are an all time favourite as we move into autumn and winter. The key to this colour is working with the clients complexion and skin tone to create the perfect hue for them.

Paul Watts used salon-friendly colour application techniques using VeroLight Lightening Powder + 10Vol followed with followed with 2/3 7N + 1/3 7BA + 10Vol toner.

To finish this look off, Marcus created internal layers with a choppy fringe whilst Joico’s Blonde Life Brightening Oil was applied through the ends for instant brightness and breakage protection. Then Hair Shake was applied for a glamorous texture to complete the look.
