Now, we can introduce their latest innovation: Metal Detox leave-in cream should protect hair from UV-induced damage, defend against heat damage, and eliminate the copper build-up that dulls and dries hair leading to friction and roughness, triggering breakage. It’s interesting to hear about the research projects going on… After seven years of research in collaboration with Ioannina University, L’Oréal Professionnel discovered that during colour treatments, the metal deposits inside the hair fibre interact with oxidants in colour causing breakage and colour shift. But thanks to using an ingredient called Glicoamine, the product systems in the Metal Detox range reduce hair breakage by 97%, and keep colour results 100% true-to-tone and longer lasting.
