About
Colour World is a two-day event held in a big venue and dedicated to sharing colour knowledge and inspiring each other with ideas, concepts and information that will help you grow. The event is always held somewhere with masses of natural light (important for viewing colour) and places to hang out including a food yard (important for meeting and sharing with friends).

And a packed programme of bite-sized seminars from industry professionals that are perfect for improving your colour career. More Colour World details…
The best part – one day ticket gets you in for as long as you want and there are no additional fees for the seminars. Colour is anti-zoo meaning there are no barriers between presenters and visitors, no stages or divisions. You can stand shoulder to shoulder with the colourists as they work, pose questions, film and ask advice. It’s so friendly.
Colour World is the only totally-colour independent event in the UK hair industry. We celebrate colourists, bringing people together to connect, learn and inspire. Colour World is supported by numerous sponsors and collaborators and not owned by one colour house.
Where
This year we take up a new residence in Shoreditch Electric – a glorious old power station in Hoxton Square, near the Old Street tube. Our home for 2023 is more central London (on the central London Underground) but retains the character and heritage of an inspirational setting for our 2-day event.
Colour World Genius Awards
The party doesn’t stop there, our Colour World Genius Awards party is hosted on Sunday, 14 May at Gigi’s in Hoxton Square. The Colour World Genius Awards is the only independent awards event to honour the work of colourists in the UK. With ten trophies for colourists to compete for, including the incredible International category, the jury is made up of leading colourists and ensures no-bias.
What will people be doing at Colour World?
The individual day ticket gives you access to the entire event of education, colour transformation, product innovation, news and comment from industry artists and leading brands. There will be a food yard, posing stage, bars and places to meet friends and make new ones.
At Colour World, you will find a range of immersive, live presentations to educate, inspire and bring people together. Colour World is a place to see, hear, and listen. You will meet like-minded individuals and have an opportunity to join a community of creative industry professionals.
Listen and Learn
You can visit the Listen and Learn room for bite-sized seminars. The bite-sized seminars led by industry professionals will be 20 minutes max, just enough time for you to learn one good thing from each guest speaker with the opportunity to engage afterwards and ask questions. This is the perfect chance for you to connect with your favourite colourists.
Live Colour Shair demos
Live Colour Shair demos mean you can watch an entire colouring process from start to finish. Our anti-zoo, no-barrier policy means you can go right up to the colour demos, film and ask questions about what each colourist is doing. Come prepared to listen, learn and take notes! Questions are very welcome at Colour World as it is an event for networking and sharing inspiration. There is no backstage; everything is out in the open, creating the perfect educational space.
