Q&A with Edward Sweeney
We caught up with Edward Sweeney, Wella Professionals global capabilities manager, to find out more about how he would use the Platinum Lily shade:
What do you love most about this shade?
This is so beautifully delicate, on blonde hair you simply see a gentle warm rose and cool ash as the hair moves. This is the perfect shade for your blonde clients looking to experiment with tone yet they fear a deeper more saturated look.
What are your top tips for using this shade?
Don’t be afraid of your development time. Let it ride… The tone is so delicate it needs time to deposit.
What’s your favourite way to mix this shade?
This one I tend to use alone a lot. However it is stunning mixed with warmer blonde shades like 10/36 or 10/38.
How would you use this shade as a quick colour service?
The express opalizing service is beautiful over blonde hair to rejuvenate tired hair and gently give it back amazing shine with a delicate yet sophisticated tone.
Have you had good feedback from clients on the new shades and if so, what do they say about it?
Blonde clients love to be blonde, my clients love how delicate the tone is, they can see the gentle warm and cool reflection yet still identify as a blonde. One client said “I love it, it’s a blonde but with something interesting going on”
