Joico European Color Design Team Member Katrina Kelly worked on these creative colours alongside European Design Team Member David Murray who worked on the cuts.
Art and creativity led to this Masterpiece – an example of colour and cut working in harmony to create a truly beautiful finish.

The Masterpiece Collection from Joico is influenced by the paintings of the renowned French master, Odilon Redon, who was celebrated for creating dreamlike paintings. Heavily influenced by Japanese art, Redon used pastels and charcoals, always taking inspiration from nature and melancholy.
Together, David and Katrina have created an innovative and imaginative collection of looks, featuring dynamic haircuts and complimentary, bespoke colours which showcase art in its most expressive form.
Taking inspiration from the way Redon used colour placement to accentuate shadows or create lightness, along with the complimenting tones, Katrina was able to build her own colour palette using Vero K-Pak Color.
When creating these captivating and versatile haircuts, David also drew inspiration from Redon’s iconic work. “Inspired by Redon, I put the structure in first and then using my creativity and a variety of techniques from razor cutting to slide cutting, I added another dimension to each look.” With each cut, versatility is the name of the game and each cut can very easily be changed with JOICO styling products to create a look that is suitable for any occasion”, said David Murray.
