Despite the challenging climate in 2020, Wella Professionals has gone the extra mile to ensure its iconic competition TrendVision Award UK & Ireland 2020 went ahead, and that the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of 2020 are crowned.
For the first time, the TrendVision Final had a digital format. The competition began with more than 1000 photographic entries on Instagram, with 66 talented individuals reaching the Final. Competitors were fully supported throughout the competition with digital mentoring that included video briefs, zoom mentoring sessions and top tips from judges.
Now, 27 winners from six categories have been crowned, which are: Colour Artist, Colour Specialist, Editorial Look, Craft Artist, Men’s Hair and Style Master. In addition, this year the competition also recognised the OPI Nail Artist of the Year which celebrates OPI’s leading nail artist in the UK.

“It’s incredible that Wella Professionals managed to go ahead with the TrendVision Award 2020, despite the challenges of adjusting the whole competition format. The competitors really did rise to the challenge and we’ve seen a truly diverse, creative and inspiring selection of entries. The winners have had tough competition and should be incredibly proud of their achievement,” said judge Robert Eaton.
