A colour hit at London Fashion Week

Sustainability has been a massive trend at the just-finished London Fashion Week shows, and the Olli Hull AW20 show caught our eye for being an on-message colour hit. Hairdresser Tim Furssedon ensured we enjoyed the wow of seeing hair as a massive part of the colour on show and we’re loving the wigs crafted by Darcie Harvey!

Olli Hull AW20 show

We adored the energy of this new collection of up-cycled, hand-painted clothing with sustainability and individuality delivered by Olli Hull. Contemporary (we spot a strong pop-art culture) and exciting, Hull’s pieces are strong as they include dynamic print yet retain simple silhouettes. But yes, the hair by Furssedon – this is what made us look closer. It was a thrilling story, being inspired by the futuristic blend of looks from the film Bright Young Things and the music of The Prodigy. We’re told that hair pieces by Darcie Harvey were crafted and coloured using Graffiti Glam colour by Keratin Complex [YES! it’s a new launch coming to the UK in May]; then styled by the hair team to include a 1920s finger-wave. Big nod to the creatives and notice how R+Co Two Way Mirrors smoothing oil added shine and sheen to the colour.

For the technical know-how:

Model’s coloured head pieces were created with Keratin Complex Graffiti Glam colour. The pieces were finished with JACKPOT Styling Crème and MOTORCYCLE Flexible Hold Gel, with a completion of VICIOUS Strong Hold Hairspray all from R+Co.

Rock on! We love it.
