The Goldwell Global Creative Awards 2022 were held last weekend and Colour World was there to enjoy the spectacle – well we do love a colourful gathering in all senses of the word!
Competitive spirit
More than 300 guests attended the Merchant Taylor’s Hall in London to cheer on the finalists. Hosts Goldwell ensured the crowd was fantastically warmed up with shows and speeches to respect the art of colour in hairdressing. But first let’s honour the winning looks:
Bravo to these leading lights… we will be following you with interest and pride – especially as you head to the international final in Amsterdam later this year. Good luck!
Showtime
A fantastic evening in hair is not complete without a great show, and the Goldwell Global Creative Awards 2022 were no exception. To open, the brand invited sustainability champions Vin+Omi to collaborate again with Simon Webster and his team in recreating the looks from the Vin+Omi show held in February this year. Outrageous shapes, and eco-theme and plenty of drama were on display and we loved it:
Colourists on stage
A second presentation to hold our gaze was a reprise of the Goldwell brand through the decades. Alongside film reminding us of key innovations, invited colourists presented their models including: Jamie Benny; Jack Mead and Lydia Wolfe; Nicola Smyth; Shane Bennett; Dorothy Sturgeon and Julie Cherry.
Well done everyone. We saw you at the bar, we joined you, and we loved the event!
