The third edition of INFRINGE is now published (launched at Salon International early October) and greeted with delight! This massive is-it-a-book-or-a-magazine? publication is the print incarnation of the online site infringe.com and is we love it. Best described by the authors as “a visual feast of art, design, beauty and fashion, all based around the theme of hair“.
INFRINGE – an artist book
A labour of love for hair, INFRINGE is the work of Anthony and Pat Mascolo and their family, both literally and metaphorically. It’s an ‘anthropology’ with an eclectic roll-call of contributors including hair luminaries for each issue. In this #3 (NB a variety of covers to choose from) you’ll find familiar names such as Akin Konizi, Annie Humphreys, Lluis Longueras and Robert Lobetta, alongside ‘youngsters’ such as Luke Benson, Tom Connell, and Indira Schauwecker. Plus you’ll see many artists such as designer Zandra Rhodes, and photographer Derek Ridgers credited. It’s a big investment but one you’ll return to time and again for inspiration we feel. See some of these photographs to whet your appetite. Then hop over to the website to gen up more…
