Yep… apparently tracking a 12 week period earlier this summer, there were millions of searches for bold colour, with ‘viral vivids’ dominating feeds, red carpets and catwalks. Our friends at Bleach London bring the numbers to our attention (36 million views, 2.2 million likes) and 36K comments!). We know Bleach to be highly regarded in itself by influencers, hairdressers and the consumer, so take note. From TikTok transformations to celebrity summer makeovers, bold, statement-making shades are no longer a passing phase, they’ve become the new modern classic.
What’s the look?
So here’s a breakdown of Bleach London’s big top two shades. And remember, this is Bleach talking so in fact, there is no bleach included:
Vivid Reds – A favourite of 2024 and 2025, the red spectrum continues to steal hearts (and heads). This is a classic statement colour choice but you can make it modern. Think in terms of bold, bright and confidence-charged. Choosing a vivid red is great even on dark hair with no bleach required. It will fade gracefully with minimum upkeep, says Bleach.

Vivid Berry – So this goes to more plum and crimson tones for a deep, sultry finish with a high-gloss sheen. So characterful, a soft purple hue is increasingly popular, gaining global traction and a loyal fanbase thanks to its wearable yet bold finish.
