Community and loyalty will be key to building business in any industry – and hairdressing knows how. A new initiative called The Colour Club from HOB Salons – one of London’s largest groups, is designed to encourage retention. You’ll find it inspiring, so we’re spilling the tea just for you.
HOB’s Colour Club
HOB Salons has been around a long time, and still runs brilliantly under the direction of three dynamic directors. Clive Collins, Paul Simbler and Akin Konizi have created, re-invented, leaned into, and survived many twists and turns in the hairdressing industry UK. So their advice is worth following. Here they kindly share how The Colour Club works. It’s essentially a subscription service designed for clients who want consistently great colour, excellent value and added perks all year round.
Colour Club is created for guests who regularly book root tints or semi-permanent glossing services. It offers a fixed-price monthly colour service, removing uncertainty around cost while encouraging regular rebooking and stronger client loyalty.
Each plan includes a monthly colour appointment plus a complimentary conditioning treatment and scalp massage worth £20. There are additional benefits increasing across four subscription tiers; discounts on products, services and salon gift cards. The higher the tier, the more the client receives.
The Colour Club runs on a simple monthly direct debit with no hidden fees and a minimum six-month commitment. Clients can book online, via the HOB app or directly with their salon team. Places are limited in each salon to protect service quality, and unused appointments do not roll over.
Team talk
HOB Salons CEO Natasha Grossman says: ‘At HOB Salons we believe in creating initiatives that improve the experience we offer our clients, while driving our business forward and providing a benchmark for the industry to follow. Initiatives like The Colour Club reinstate our commitment to remaining industry leaders in an increasingly competitive marketplace, while never losing sight of our main priority, our clients.”
