“The original UK online weekly magazine for the global makeup industry, Warpaint champions the work of internationally acclaimed artists. Working with leading artists, we take readers behind the scenes of film, TV and theatre productions; include technical information on products and processes; cover trends and inspirations; and feature news products and launches across makeup, skincare, haircare, nails and beauty.

Published each academic term, the print edition Warpaint Extra Magazine covers every aspect of a make-up artist’s brief. From blockbuster films and TV productions to editorial shoots and red-carpet events, we bring readers the artist’s own career story. Regular features cover body art, prosthetics, hair, wigs and SFX, as well as fashion, catwalk, bridal, editorial and beauty. Detailed tutorials and product breakdowns by leading artists build up to a library to keep and refer to the future.

Our Warpaint Family of top industry names from around the world review products, give kit inspiration and judge virtual and in person makeup challenges and College competitions. Designed to be used as part of the college curriculum and provide crucial competition practice, the online Warpaint Extra College Makeup Competitions take place twice a year on a Monday in March and October. Categories include Beauty, Editorial, Film & TV and Bodypainting.  We also run education stages and in person competitions for both professional and student MUAs at beauty shows and trade exhibitions across the UK.

Summer 2021 saw the launch of Beyond The Brush, a podcast dedicated to the creative industries. Created as a collaboration between Warpaint and Paintopia, publisher Emma Rutherford and body painter Jennie Roberts chat to famous faces from the worlds of makeup, hair, body paint, photography, arts and social media. Pitched at both students and professionals alike, we aim to educate, inspire and entertain – and ask those questions that you’ve always wanted to ask and never dared. With new series dropping every quarter, Beyond The Brush can be found on all your favourite podcast providers.”
