Respect for The LAB

Respect LAB
Gina Conway

Developing the brilliant Listen&Learn room concept that they run for us at Colour World UK, Respect has created The LAB – a new series of inspirational talks. Attending the launch event in Hammersmith on Monday night, we were blown away…

The concept is simple: speakers get just 10 minutes to enthuse and enthral the audience with their ideas and experiences, followed by a few minutes for questions. Respect hopes to run these LAB events – which stands for Learn About – every month from January with a roster of 6-8 inspiring industry guests and we cannot wait to see who they get on board.

Respect LAB
Andrew Barton

Speakers

The bar was set pretty high with the calibre of presenters present at the inaugural event:
Errol Douglas shared how he keeps his personal Instagram personal yet promotional; Gina Conway explained to run a business that exudes luxury for all ‘guests’; Mikey Pearson @ Manifesto spoke about men’s hairdressing opposed to barbering; Robert Masciave awed the audience with a somewhat alarming but engaging vision of our robotic future; Stewart Roberts founder of Haircuts4Homeless spoke with passion about the charity and the power of helping others; Karen Lowe producer of TRIBU-TE SHOW shared her top tips for how to plan and execute a show; and finally, Andrew Barton championed the salon hairdresser. Intriguing, perception-altering and emotional – these talks had it all.
To make sure you’re in the know when the next LAB launches, be sure to follow Respect on social media @respectforhair. And in the meantime, you get a feel of the laid-back, lounge vibe below:
