Aveda colour contest

WINNING COLOUR!
@chrisblackaveda
The above picture by Chris Black at Edward James London has scooped top prize in a brilliant competition run by Aveda. Chris has won a personal, one-hour mentoring session with an Aveda Global Artistic Team member of his choice. And here’s how he did it!
We love any call to celebrate colour and the Aveda colour contest does just this. And for an epically good reason! The colour brand announced it is now 100% vegan last month, and everyone’s crowded to Instagram to share the message in #colourtastic style.
Throughout Veganuary, Aveda artists were invited to mark the brand’s evolution to being 100% vegan and post plant-inspired colour pix. Simply marrying up nature’s inspo with hair colour was intriguing. Scrolling the entries on @avedaukpro is fun! Now, to create the roll-call of finalists, trade press editors were invited to nominate their favourite.

The finalists

The finalist images were selected from a myriad of submissions on line. Editors from leading trade press publications were the judges, and these four looks above posted on the @avedaprouk account to attract attention.  The image with the most likes was declared winner.
WELL DONE CHRIS BLACK (ps you were our fave, too!)
And here are more of the ones that caught our eye in the first round and deserve a second look here:
