WHITEMAN.soho

Lisa Whiteman
We’re delighted to see Lisa Whiteman has opened her first solo salon in central London, Whiteman.soho, and to report that it’s stunning!  Set in the exclusive Ham Yard village (part of the wildly popular, trendsville Ham Yard Hotel) WHITEMAN.Soho is a five-star proposition with a friendly, intimate vibe. We love how the premises are small but perfectly formed with plenty of Lisa’s personality invested in the detail. Clever lady has used her many years experience as a successful businesswoman as well as a hairdresser to create a premium choice for discerning clientele. If you’re not familiar, let’s explain:

About Lisa Whiteman

Lisa is a Goldwell brand ambassador with a colour knowledge to be envied. We’ve long admired her award-winning skills with a colour palette – as erstwhile co-owner of the award-winning salon WebsterWhiteman for 14 years. She has built up a reputation and celebrity client list. That is shorthand for her considerable cutting, colouring, styling and educating prowess.

At the new salon, Lisa has introduced a fantastic creative colour bar concept.  She has been replacing the reception desk quite literally with a high bar (coffee machines and stools included). Visitors can watch colour being selected and mixed. Its the first thing you see on entering and quite a statement as to the colour credentials on offer here.

Luxury reclining massage chairs at the backwash are also arranged so that the backbar is moved to become shelving in-front of the client, meaning they can see exactly what products are being used on their hair. Neat! Bespoke, minimalist styling stations are matt black/flecked gold and silver Corian styling stations include concealed cupboards and don’t allow for clutter.

As well as reception-free, the salon is paperless. Payments and bookings are taken on mobile devices by the team, using laptops and iPads. Just as a bill comes to you at your table in a restaurant, here you can expect the same service. It cuts out annoying loitering at a reception and therefore means no queues!

The Whiteman

“I wanted to create a welcoming haven where clients can come and relax. Enjoy an amazing hairdressing experience, then leave the salon feeling recharged as well as looking fantastic. Based on feedback we’ve received, we’re achieving that.”
