Josh Wood

Josh Wood is one of the most influential, innovative and knowledgeable colourists of our time. He owns the Josh Wood Colour Salon in London’s Holland Park, and takes care of colour for some of the most celebrated names currently stalking Instagram, fashion week catwalks, and leading film studios! He recently joined Redken as Global Color Creative Director (joining the likes of Guido Palau on high-profile shows). Ever the expert, we wanted to find out from Josh his succinct take on a couple of key questions:
Which new colour technique or service are you loving for AW17?
“There are so many new freehand techniques, and more and more I am thinking of hair colour like make-up; contouring, shadowing, and generally applying colour in a more intuitive way. We are constantly developing our service offer at my Atelier it’s a way to keep our clients engaged with us and what we are doing.
Where we need to improve our service to colour clients for 2018…?
“There has been so much talk about personalisation and ‘bespoke’ services but I think developing a service offer that is unique to your salon, and also showcases the talent within the salon, is a way to keep things fresh and tailor services to support business  I often have Ideas Meetings with the team, whereby we can assess what they think is new and look at what their clients are asking for this keeps us ahead of the game.”
