Chris Williams

Chris Williams is international colour director at Rush salons. With the image of an international company with a flagship Academy in central London, we asked him what he thinks salons need to do to bring their colour service bang up to date for the coming season?
“We all know how important colour services are to salons up and down the UK and with the popularity of social media platforms such as instagram, clients have even more access to images showing great colour work, and hairdressers can be inspired by the work they view online.
“With the rise of the colour service it is extremely important to ensure salons are up to date with the latest trends and techniques in order to provide their clients with exactly what they are looking for from their colourist. It all begins with education, which is the foundation of our skills. Without education, we would never develoor push the boundaries within our industry. It is absolutely vital to understand just how much of an importance this plays in day to day salon life. For salons and individuals on going training and development helps them keep up to date and on trend.
“Here at RUSH we have just opened our incredible new Academy in the centre of Covent Garden, which provides a creative educational base for stylists both in the UK and Internationally. The Academy is a base for myself, and will allow me to pass on not only my experiences and skills from my time in the industry, but teach the latest techniques which are ever evolving within the hairdressing industry, meaning everyone can learn ‘The Rush Way.’ Chris Williams, International Colour Director, RUSH
