Ben Madle colour collection

Creating collections for your business, to promote your salon work and showcase your technical skills, is a tough challenge. Throw in the desire to compete in the hairdressing awards and you’re really upping the ante, and the cost. The fees for hiring professional models is both prohibitive, and at times constraining, as chances are, you’re not allowed to cut or colour their hair either. Hair PR work as they call it, is only about styling as far as model agencies are concerned.

Ben Madle colour collection

Ben Madle, with a long history of working as a salon owner, and also as a freelancer, is a master of recruiting friends and clients as models (ie not always agency models) to allow him more scope to express his hair skills. He’s got a great eye for selecting people who will brilliantly ‘wear’ the looks that Ben creates and reflect his customer base. In short, they are great ads for his hairdressing. Here are some of this colour collection images from 2019 – Ben took the photographs also. We hold them up as examples of looks which are accessible to clients, ie wearable, and very well executed – for both cut, colour, styling and suitability. Top class!
