Buy and Blend: A New Way to Approach Extensions Colour

Remi Cachet’s premium human hair extensions stand with a new card in the game for extensionists, to rethink their services. Meet ‘buy and blend’, a new strategy designed for experts to add extensions colour consultations to their service list.

Victoria Lynch, founder of Remi Cachet, understands that offering salon clients a dedicated colour consultation for extensions is crucial. With this in mind, the brand developed a ‘buy and blend’ service that aims to inspire extensionists to experiment with new colour combinations to reflect seasonal trends and bespoke client needs.

Why offer colour consultations for extensions?

Client satisfaction is a huge part of a successful service. Adding extensions colour consultation to your service list improves the client experience in several ways:

  • Having the option of colour change without commitment
  • Doing seasonal refreshes without hair damage
  • Creating bespoke results without chemical processing

With more than 60 shades, stylists can custom blend colour pairings to create colour effects without relying on chemical colour. Bringing colour into the conversation of hair extensions will make a real difference. The brand is looking forward to shifting the conversation from “what colour extensions do you want?” to “what colour blend works for you?”

As we move towards spring, Remi Cachet has pulled together seven spring summer 2026 shade combinations that address trend colours, featuring rich, cool and warm shade variations including:

  • Honey Blonde – 27/613 + 55
  • Chantilly Cream – 55 + 18/60
  • Cacao Brown – 4 + 6
  • Caramel Balayage – T2/8 + 16
  • Honey Brown – 14 + 6
  • Copper Red – 66 + 33
  • Rooted Buttercream Blonde – 55 + T8-16/60

Poppy Saunders, super stylist at Remi Cachet explores the trends within the industry and says: “I am seeing a strong trend towards more dimensional, natural-looking colours rather than flat tones and extensions are a great way to refresh a client’s colour without needing to fully recolour their natural hair.

For brunettes, rich chocolate tones mixed with soft caramel or mocha pieces are in demand, as they add warmth and depth without looking overly highlighted. Overall, I am seeing clients looking for colour that feels lived-in, blended and low-maintenance.”

With more shades and custom blending possibilities than ever, extension colour consultations could open the door to more personalised services behind the chair — and happier clients beyond it.
